Henrik Fisker co-founded Fisker Automotive in 2007. While working with Tesla in designing the Model S, Henrik was working on his own design, known as the Fisker Karma. Tesla proceeds to sues Fisker, stating that they stole Tesla’s hybrid technology. In early 2009, Tesla settles out of court and was ordered to pay Fisker more than $1,000,000. A little opinion here, but I believe that Tesla was just mad that Henrik designed the Model S, when he had the Karma in his brain. But back to this amazing story. Henrik receives half of a billion dollars from the Department of Energy as a subsidy to design eco-friendly cars, such as the Karma. In 2011, Top Gear test’s the Karma and announce it to be the 2011 Car of the Year. However, on October 29, 2012 Hurricane Sandy hits the east coast, destroying 338 Karma’s bound for Europe. Karma announces recall to repair cooling fans as well as they have the Takata airbags which have to be replaced. Fisker admits defeat shortly after, and Karma closes its doors. Fear not, in 2014 a Chinese company, Wanxiang, steps in and purchases what is left of Fisker. Here is the amazing part. Wanxiang moves production from Finland to California, and begins redesign of the Fisker Karma, and it is rebadged Karma Revero. Go Google it and you will be surprised to see the Fisker Karma virtually unchanged. Starting price for the new Karma is $130,000 and side by side you won’t be able to tell the Fisker is 7 years old. So, when you are looking for your Karma, look for the recall stickers, mine are included. I welcome buyer inspections, as this is a driver’s car. This car is being sold without reserve, deposit is due within 24hrs of the close of auction. Full price is due within 3-day by certified funds or wire transfer. 2012 Fisker Karma #00482 is finished in stunning metallic black with black interior. All recalls and maintenance performed by THE best Fisker shop in Southern California. Software level 535 with all available options working 100% correctly. This vehicle has all the recalls performed already and the motors have been removed and the hardened drive splines installed also. These cars had issues with soft drive splines being shredded by the power of the electric motors. I have all the receipts to show this work being completed. Don't buy a Fisker without making sure everything on the recall side was done and the batteries and drive shafts have been taken care of. Comes with auto-sensing 110v / 240v EVSE vehicle charger that can be plugged in to regular 110v outlet or your 240v dryer outlet.
